    Eagle Pass Grand Opening

Encompass Christian Counseling and Encourage Foster Care celebrated the grand opening of our new office location at 2148 Eagle Pass in Wooster, OH on Tuesday, February 14, 2023. Expanding to a larger office suite on Eagle Pass allows us to better care for the mental health and foster care demands in Wayne and surrounding counties. It will also help facilitate growth across our entire family of ministries and allow us to help more people experience their worth in Christ.

The Eagle Pass office is 4,900 square feet and has 13 offices for clinicians and administrative staff. The space also includes a life skills area with a kitchen, washer, dryer, and ironing board where clinicians can work with clients to help restore the skills they will need to utilize on a daily basis to live independently.

“We are excited to open our Eagle Pass offices of Encompass Christian Counseling and Encourage Foster Care,” said Kevin Hewitt, President & CEO. “We look forward to continuing to grow these programs as we now have space to grow and meet the needs of our stakeholders. We also look forward to helping meet the mental health needs of our local community.”

Since its inception, the Wooster Encompass location has provided services in the administrative offices on the campus of CCHO and Encourage Foster Care operated out of a satellite office in downtown Wooster. Due to the tremendous growth in outpatient mental health counseling and substance use treatment, Encompass needed a larger, more therapeutic space to better meet the needs of clients. The Eagle Pass office will allow our teams to be together in the same office for better collaboration. This move also opens more space at our main campus to continue to meet the increasing needs of CCHO residential and One Heart Stables equine therapy clients.

“Encompass has enjoyed sharing space with our partners at CCHO, but as we continue to grow, I am excited to move to a location that will be dedicated to meeting the mental health needs of our community for clients of all ages, with space to optimize the effectiveness of our staff,” said Sheila Wagler-Mills, Director of Encompass.

Our team is growing! At this time, Encompass is actively looking for compassionate and skilled clinical team members who are licensed as a social worker (BSW, MSW, LSW or LISW) or a counselor (LPC or LPCC) to care for clients of all ages and across all areas of mental health.

If you want to be part of a trauma-informed mental health organization that supports personal and professional development, we invite you to explore a career opportunity with us. Learn more about working at Encompass and apply today.
