    Social Work Breaks Barriers

Encompass is helping celebrate March as Social Work Month with the theme “Social Work Breaks Barriers," to highlight how social workers have enriched our society by empowering people and communities to overcome hurdles that prevent them from living life to the fullest.

People become social workers because they have a strong desire to help others and make society a better place. Our amazing social workers at Encompass reflect this desire as they work hard to provide support and counsel to our clientele. We currently have 44 social workers across our Family of Ministries who show Christ’s love through trauma-based counseling in homes, offices, schools, courtrooms, residential cottages and equine-therapy spaces.

As a frontline professional, licensed social workers work hand in hand with the people who need their support by providing mental health diagnosis, therapeutic counseling and service linkage to community resources. If you happen to see or know a social worker, be sure to thank them for their service and dedication to “breaking barriers” as they work with individuals to overcome trauma or other disadvantages in their lives.

To all of our social workers – we THANK YOU for the countless hours you pour into the lives of individuals. You instill HOPE, provide tools to OVERCOME and remind clients of their WORTH and VALUE. May you never forget the IMPACT all of you are continuing to make in the world.

Call to action: Thank a social worker TODAY!
