Molly Woods, LSW, is a school-based Encompass therapist serving students and families in Orrville. Both the conference and the book give parents, caregivers, teachers and workers the skills and knowledge to approach situations including “children from hard places” in a trauma-informed way. The guidance presented in this book encourages “connecting before correcting” and how to see through difficult behaviors to unmet needs, and to be able to address the behaviors effectively once those needs are met.
Dr. Purvis was a child development expert and passionate advocate for vulnerable children. She passed away in 2016. Her life and legacy live on through TBRI and books like this one. Pick up a copy today and learn from her practical wisdom.
